About Ward Al Makassed
Ward Al Makassed, is the first community development center of its kind in Beirut Tarik Al-Jadidah neighborhood. Its mission is to empower women and youth with much needed skills and vocational training necessary to effect change within their communities. It encourages the use of local resources in a way that enhances economic outcomes while improving social conditions.
The importance of the center:
Ward Al Makassed is keen to ensure the sustainability of projects that empower both women and youth in order to build their capacities. Its main focus is is to hone in their skills, improve the material conditions of their families, and ultimatly develop their local communities.
